dude those are great shots. No flash is definitely the way forward for animal pictures.
try and get closer to his face now and use the macro function (usually looks like a flower) so you stay in focus. Try and get one with his nose really close up and in sharp focus and then do the same with his eyes. Do it in good natural light so you don’t get motion blur. Cool shots
Unfortunately I don’t think my camera has the greatest macro function in the world – certainly, it’s not as strong as yours (which I think is just a few millimetres, right?).
And this is about as close as I can get to him before he wakes up, hence the open eyes on the second photo.
I need to get him on the wooden floor in the dining room, or on the grass in the garden. Either of those would make a far better setting than the hideous pink and blue combination of our carpet and settee!
